[NEohioPAL] Seeking Actors/ Actresses, ages 18-25

[StagePlayAudition 2012]

Seeking devoted Non-Equity Actors/Actresses, ages 18-25 for a theatrical
production presented by Project R.I.S.E.*(Realizing Individual Strength
through Education*), a division of Akron Public Schools.



Director: Tyron Hoisten



The production will focus on homeless youth issues. It is sure to be a
heart-wrenching and surprisingly heart-warming production.



All roles are non-paid.



Available roles:

*Ages indicate the characters' ages. We realize actors may player younger
or older than their actual ages.*

* *

*Taylor* – *(Caucasian or Latino) *19. Deeply saddened by events that have
happened in her life.  This is a major character and will be a huge
commitment.



*Jamal* – *(African-American) *18. Has lots of charisma and personality.


*Darren* – *(Caucasian)* 18. Fast talking, easygoing. A Jay Leno type.


Auditions are by appointment only during the weeks of 7/9/2012 and
7/16/2012, date TBD.

 The audition will consist of:
1) Prepared short monologue *(1-2 minutes)*
2) Readings from the production *(sides provided at audition)*



Rehearsals will be held at the Firestone Park Community Center on Tuesday,
Wednesday and Thursday from 6:30pm – 8:30pm *(additional rehearsals may be
scheduled).*



First rehearsal will be held on 7/19/2012.   Performance will be held in
August 2012, date TBA.
