Beautiful Addiction Stage Play – Paid Roles
Cleveland Style Casting is excited to be casting for the amazing Stage Play “Beautiful Addiction” scheduled for October in the downtown theater district.
Auditions will be held at the CSC Office on August 23rd at 6:30pm

Character List
Alexis Tandy– (Open Ethnicity)  is an attractive, successful, seductress in her mid 50’s. Alexis is used to getting her way and has her sights on a young doctor who is engaged to someone else.
 
 
Dr. David Purvis –  is a young African American doctor in his late 20’s who is engaged to Jennifer. David was raised in an upper class home and
was held to high moral standards. He is dealing with the recent death of his ongoing affair with his mother’s best friend.
 
Jennifer Dimes– (Open Ethnicity) is in mid late 20’s and engaged to David.  She is beautiful, humble and college educated.  She has led a life of trials and tribulations that has set her on the wrong path in the past, but she is determined to stay on task and follow her dreams.
 
Carmen Peterson– is an African American female in her mid 30’s who went to school to be a beautician in her early twenties, but never finished. She does hair on the side. She jumps from job to job because of her attitude. Carmen is David’s.
 
Johnny Cloud- in his early 50’s and the “Jack of all Trades” and wears several hats. By him beingan ex-con his Uncle David gave him an opportunity. He plays the role of a janitor and securityguard who uses a butter knife and duck tape to fix everything and a stun gun “Sparky” to keeporder.
 
Billy “Cornflake” White- in his yearly 40’s cornflake is a Desert Storm Veteran and was one of the most successful stock brokers until last year the bottom fell out a couple years ago. His firm went belly up, so did he. Since then he hears the voices and sees images of his angry clients.
 
Yusef Mujahed-  is a 33yearold Muslim who has been in the States since 911. He is a computer programmer and engaged. Something he ate did not agree with him and Mercy Clinic is the closest place to serve him.
Chris “Tiny” Bryant- is a medical rep slash hustler slash rapper. He supplies the medicine they need at pennies on a dollar. The meds are legitimate, but how Tiny acquires them is a mystery. Furthermore, he claims he has pills that can cure diabetes, congestive heart failure and PMS! 
 
Small roles that either are just speaking parts or very small roles
• Cynthia Purvis- She David’s mother and Alexis best friend. She recently moved to Myrtle Beach after her husband died to be closer to her whom is ill. She is not an on stage character, she has a speaking role off stage.
• Charles Marshall- late 40’s who is irritated, angry and impatient who demands service but is quickly disappointed. He has a small role and who ever play Cornflake will play this role too.
• Mrs. Johnson- an elderly woman who is hard of hearing and getting a checkup. She has a very small part whoever plays Jennifer will play this role too.
• Police – Yusef Mujahed will play this role too.
