Cultural Arts Programmer reports to Rick Fortney, Cultural Arts Manager /
Artistic Director****

Full time job w/ benefits – hours may include evenings / weekends****

** **

Responsibilities include children / youth programming and educational
activities in the arts, overseeing Family Life Series, and overseeing the
Summer Theatre Camp.****

** **

The position requires the production and conducting of a wide variety of
educational and recreational programs related to the arts and cultural
history of Lorain County.  The position also requires involvement in
temporary and permanent displays and exhibits.****

** **

The position requires work with program and staff scheduling, as well as
supervision of seasonal and full-time employees as assigned.  Facility
set-up and maintenance is also required.****

** **

This position also requires outstanding oral and written communication
skills, and courteous and professional ability in working with large and
diverse groups of people. ****

In addition, the position also performs related duties as apparent and
assigned.****

Job Qualifications:****

** **

Associate degree in the field of arts, theatre or cultural history.  At
least two years experience in above fields preferred, with experience in
developing and conducting recreational or educational programs a must.
Experience in public relations, customer service, administrative support,
and scheduling events and/or staff also necessary.  Basic computer skills,
including but not limited to word processing, spreadsheets, internet and
e-mail necessary:  computer-generated presentation experience (i.e.
PowerPoint) highly preferred + Social Media skills.****
