MILKMILKLEMONADE: FINAL THREE PERFORMANCES THIS THU, FRI, SAT.
THIS COMEDY IS WAY TOO MUCH FUN TO MISS!

" broad comedy -- and moments of real tenderness" that can "deliver the
delicate, emotional stuff, but still serve up the camp" (Andrea Simakis,
Plain Dealer)

"a campy, fun romp" "unabashed playfulness" (Bob Abelman, News-Herald)

MilkMilkLemonade, a comedy by Joshua Conkel that's been keeping audiences in
stitches, tells the tale of Emory, an effeminate, fifth-grade farm boy
whose only friend is a giant depressed chicken named Linda. His
grandmother Nanna, who is aghast that her grandson might be a homosexual,
orders him to stop playing with dolls and choreographing dance routines,
and spend more time with the hyper-masculine Elliot, whose interests
include throwing balls, beating up Emory and setting things on fire.

What Nanna doesn’t know is that bully-boy neighbor Elliot also enjoys
playing an extremely detailed version of house with Emory, one that
focuses less on homemaking and more on ennui and imaginings of prom (and
some other stuff Nanna would definitely not approve of). A children's play
definitely not for children, MilkMilkLemonade takes a humorous look at
gender, identity, and the need to dream up a world where you can be who
you are. (Note: Children and animate poultry are played by adults.)

MilkMilkLemonade runs Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. through
September 8 at the Liminis, 2438 Scranton Rd., Cleveland, OH 44113.
Tickets are $15 general admission, $12 for seniors and $10 for students.
