[NEohioPAL] Cleveland Botanical Garden hiring temporary workers for November install

A friend of mine is working with the design company that is doing the install for The Cleveland Botanical Garden's new Glow  Winter Show 2012.   The Cleveland Botanical Garden is looking to hire 8 additional laborers, some of whom need specific skills which are listed below.  These temporary workers will be needed to help with installation starting Monday November 12 and work through Thursday, November 22 (yes that is Thanksgiving day). They will also need 4 of the laborers to work on Friday November 23, and Saturday November 24, to help make sure the first weekend operates and runs smoothly.

2012 Glow Occupational Descriptions 9/6/12

(2) Laborers with a concentration in carpentry

* Able to lift and move heavy items

* Able to work long shifts on their feet

* Skilled in basic construction building of frames, flats, and miscellaneous items

* Must have basic tools

* Able to work in areas of high heights

* Preferred lift operation experience

 

(1) Laborer with a concentration in rigging

* Able to lift and move heavy items

* Able to work long shifts on their feet

* Experience with rigging in commercial experiences

* Must have basic tools

* Able to work in areas of high heights

* Lift operation experience

 

(1) Laborer with a concentration in electrics

* Able to lift and move heavy items

* Able to work long shifts on their feet

* Skilled in electrical operations

* Able to create cabling as needed

* Must have basic tools

* Able to work in areas of high heights

* Preferred lift operation experience

 

(1) Visual merchandiser

* Able to lift and move heavy items

* Able to work long shifts on their feet

* Experience in visual merchandising and décor

* Able to work in areas of high heights

 

(1) Operational lead/stage manager

* Experience in leading a crew

* Experience in Microsoft Office

* Organized and detailed oriented

 

(2) General Laborers

* Able to lift heavy objects

* Able to work long hours on feet

* Must provide basic tools

* Duties to include: tree wrapping, lifting, loading/ unloading, painting, etc.
