AUDITION NOTICE
"Gulf View Drive"

CHARACTERS:
MAY: A schoolteacher from Kentucky, in her mid-thirties.

RALEIGH: May’s husband, a writer, also from Kentucky, in his mid-thirties. 

MRS. GILL: Her mother, fifties +
MRS. BRUMMETT: His mother, fifties +
TREVA: Raleigh’s sister, thirties.


THE STORY:
This is the third play in Arlene Hutton's Nibroc Trilogy—that began with Last Train to Nibroc followed by See Rock City. In the first two plays, a young pair of Kentuckians named May and 
Raleigh meet, fall in love, marry and try to reconcile marital 
expectations and their opinionated mothers-in-law. In Gulf View Drive, the time frame has moved from World War II to 1953, and May and Raleigh have moved to Florida, where the crush of dreams, families and the 
turbulence of events just outside their door threaten their comfortable life. 

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Audition Dates: 
Tuesday, October 9 and Wednesday, October 10 at 7:30pm.  Auditions will be held at Clague Playhouse, 1371 Clague Road,
 Westlake.

Production Dates: January 11 - February 3, 2013 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2pm.

Please bring an audition photo and résumé.  Auditioners will be asked to do cold readings from the script.

A perusal script is available at the Clague Playhouse Box Office for a $10 deposit through October 6, 2012.  Box Office hours are Wednesday - Saturday from 1-6pm.
