AUDITIONS

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)

By Adam Long, Daniel Singer & Jess Winfield

SHOW SUMMARY: This endearingly irreverent romp through the greatest plays of all time, (including
the world record for the shortest-ever performance of Hamlet clocking in at 43 seconds), will have
you rolling with laughter. All 37 plays plus the sonnets in 97 minutes are played by 3 actors in an
endless array of hats, props, costumes and tights.

DON BERNARDO, Director

Kathryn Williams-Bernardo, Producer

2 men, ages 35+

This show demands ACTIVE, HIGH-ENERGY comedy players who are comfortable and skilled with improv, ad
libbing, and generating significant audience participation.

NOTE: The show specifically calls for (and was written by and for) three men, and the goal is to
cast as written. However, the director may entertain the possibility of casting no more than one
woman in the show, in place of one of the older men. Women interested in auditioning are strongly
encouraged to contact the director in advance (see contact information, below) before attending
auditions.

No preparation required. Auditions will consist of a cold reading of one Shakespeare monologue,
sides from the script, and some brief improv work. Auditioners are asked to arrive on time, and be
prepared to stay through the entire audition session. Headshots and resumes are welcomed, but not
required. Callbacks may be held, at a date to be determined.

Performances 8pm Fridays and Saturdays MARCH 1-9, 2013

Rehearsals tentatively scheduled to begin January 13.

Please bring schedule conflicts, which will be carefully considered in casting.
