The Giver
 
Twelve year old Jonaslives in a perfectly happy world without poverty, without crime, withoutsickness. He also lives in a world without color, without music, and withoutchoice.  When he is chosen to become theReceiver of Memory, Jonas begins a journey to uncover the truth of this placehe has always called Home. Gently guided by the Giver, who shares the memoriesof a long-forgotten way of life, Jonas grows determined to regain power over hisown destiny. He faces a decision that will define him and, ultimately, set acourse toward hope. 
 
Basedon the Newbery Award winning book by LoisLowry and adapted for the stage byClevelander Eric Coble, The Giver isdirected by Dennis O’Connell, and features professional actors AdamHoffman, Eric Lualdi, Geoffrey Darling, and Holly Barkdoll; as well as atalented group of young actors including Kolin Morgenstern, Emma Picht, SamKosco, Katie Petit, and Leah Schwiger.
