*Talespinner Children’s Theatre announces open auditions for 2013 season*

*Talespinner Children’s Theatre* (Alison Garrigan, Executive Artistic
Director) is Cleveland’s newest professional theatre, located on the near
west side in The Reinberger Auditorium just east of the Gordon Square Arts
District. *TCT* develops and produces highly imaginative, original,
collaborative and interactive professional works for children that also
stimulate creative growth in its artists. At any time, these pieces may
involve acting, dance, music, puppetry, tumbling, drumming, and numerous
other artistic disciplines as imagined by the artistic teams working with
and for *TCT*, and are open to all creative possibility--reaching across
socio-economic, cultural and traditional boundaries to bring theatre to the
community in its fullest form providing excitement, growth and joy for all
who are involved in and/or touched by its work.

*We are looking for talented, dedicated, imaginative theatre artists, age
18 or older. Must be willing to share your imagination with others, connect
with an audience, and to work collaboratively with an artistic team. *

Season information:

*THE TINDER BOX—by Hans Christian Anderson, adapted by Mike Geither*
April 6 - 28, 2013
(Rehearsals begin February 15, 2013)

*THE EMPEROR’S EARS—a Serbian Folktale, adapted by Michael Sepesy*
June 15 – July 6, 2013
(Rehearsals begin May 1, 2013)

*ADVENTURES IN SLUMBERLAND—based on the characters of Winsor McCay, by
David Hansen*
November 30 – December 22, 2013
(Rehearsals begin October 12, 2013)

*Various outreach, off-site and educational performances throughout the year
*—artists will be hired to perform in these, as well, and rehearsals will
vary depending on scheduling/content.

Performing positions are paid.

*Audition information:*

*BY APPOINTMENT ONLY*

*When:* Sunday, December 9, and Monday, December 10, 4:00pm - 10:00pm

*What:* You will be given a two-hour block appointment. Blocks will be
4:00pm - 6:00pm, 6:00pm - 8:00pm and 8:00pm - 10:00pm

Come dressed and prepared to move. *You will be there for the full two
hours.* No memorized material is necessary. There will be script work and
imaginative collaboration.

Please bring a headshot and resume. *TCT is not offering AEA contracts at
this time*.
