What: "Cats" Auditions ALL ROLES AVAILABLE
Where: Geauga Lyric Theater Stage
 When: January 28, 29, 31 OPEN Dance and Vocal Auditions
6:30 to 9 PM doors open at 5:30 for warm-up time prior to start.
Dance portion begins at 6:30.
Call (440) 285-7701 to reserve a space on the preferred night.
Applicants must pass dance audition to be invited to participate in vocal
portion of audition.
February 2 Call Back by Invitation 1 to 4 PM
February 3 reserved for call back 6 to 9 PM (if needed)
If applicant is only interested in the few minimal dance roles:
Open call time 7:45 - 9 PM for vocal portion of audition.
(applies to Grizabella, Deuteronomy, Bustopher Jones, Gus the Theater Cat)

Audition Requirements:
Must be age 16 or older - Seeking roles for young and mature adults
Must prepare both ballad and up-tempo show songs for vocal portion
Must dress and be prepared for dance movement - ballet, tap and jazz
Must attend dance portion of open call that begins at 6:30.

Cast Requirements:
Seeking up to 13 male and 14 female players.
Ensemble cast with feature solo roles within ensemble
Male roles will be doubled
1 Female minimal dance role (Grizabella)
3 Male minimal movement roles
(Gus the Theater Cat, Bustopher Jones, Old Deuteronomy)
All dance roles require experienced dancers.
All roles require character acting.

Rehearsal Requirements:
Production begins Sunday, February 17 from 2 to 6 PM
Nine (9) Week rehearsal schedule Sunday - Thursday
Most Sundays 2 to 6 PM. Most weeknights 6:30 to 9:30 PM

Show Requirements:
Show opens April 19, 20, 21
Maple Festival Cast Events April 27, 28
Shows May 3, 4, 5 and May 10, 11, 12
Sundays are matinees.
