Ashland University Department of Theatre seeks applicants for tenure track
Assistant Professor of Scenic & Lighting Design, beginning August
2013.  Primary
responsibilities include: teaching courses in Scenic & Lighting Design,
Visual Art of Theatre, Stage Management and Theatre Aesthetics in an
undergraduate BA program; the designer will function as Scenic & Lighting
Designer for a 4 show departmental season and supervise student designers
and stage managers.

The position requires the ability to design and execute designs. Expertise
in one or more of the following areas desirable: sound design, scenic
painting, properties.  The candidate should have demonstrated commitment to
teaching and be able to show evidence of teaching effectiveness.  MFA and
professional experience required.  Continued professional work expected.
