CVLT's latest farce takes a swing at golf and romance

CHAGRIN FALLS, OH - Following a box office record-breaking December,
Chagrin Valley Little Theatre tees off the remainder of its 83rd Season
with THE FOX ON THE FAIRWAY, an uproarious 2010 farce by Ken Ludwig,
whose comedies /Lend Me A Tenor/, /Leading Ladies/, and /Moon Over
Buffalo/ have been well-received at CVLT in recent years.

Under the direction of Daniel Takacs, THE FOX ON THE FAIRWAY takes
audiences on a hilarious romp which pulls the rug out from underneath
the stuffy denizens of the private Quail Valley Country Club. Filled
with mistaken identities, slamming doors, and over-the-top romantic
shenanigans, it's a furiously paced comedy; a charmingly madcap
adventure about love, life, and man's eternal love affair with... golf.

Bingham (Michael Rogan), the president at Quail Valley, has placed a
sizable wager with Dickie (Christopher Nappi), his cocky and arrogant
counterpart at rival club Crouching Squirrel, over their upcoming annual
golf tournament. Bingham's confidence is based on his having secured a
marvelous golfer to play for his club in the tournament, and he soon
finds his money and his reputation at risk when Dickie steals the prized
player away to play for Crouching Squirrel. Fortunately, Bingham's newly
hired hand, Justin (Billy Sonnie), is an excellent player, and happens
to be in love with the club house waitress, Louise (Natalie Dolezal).
All seems right once Bingham finagles Justin's nomination to the
tournament, until bad weather, a missing engagement ring, the arrival of
Bingham's wife (Laurel Bryant) and the antics of Bingham's lustful club
vice-president (Erika Hansen) cause everything to hook swiftly into the
rough! Can the people of Quail Valley avoid their own hazards, or will
it be a hilarious double-bogey for all?

THE FOX ON THE FAIRWAY runs Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 PM,
January 18 - February 9, 2013. Tickets are $16 regular, $12 students and
seniors. The play is not recommended for younger audiences due to mature
themes. Tickets and information are available at Chagrin Valley Little
Theatre's website - www.CVLT.org, or by phone at 440-247-8955 between
1-6 PM, Monday through Saturday. Chagrin Valley Little Theatre is
located at 40 River Street in historic Chagrin Falls Village. CVLT is
generously funded by Cuyahoga County residents through Cuyahoga Arts and
Culture and supported by the Ohio Arts Council.
