Friday Feb 15th – Performance, Puppets and Pizza

Monday Feb 18th – Theater, Thumbprints and Tacos Ages*: 5-13 *

*Times*: *8:45-3:45 *at the theater and arts center (drop off/pick up at
theater)

Instructors: Angela Hansen; Gina Piotrkowski; Lee Ann Tamburrino; Katie
Arnold; Ashley Kotlar and Serena Tamburrino Price: $45 per class- includes
lunch and a snack SIGN UP FOR ONE OR BOTH

Description: Wondering what to do on the days off from school? Want to try
something fun? This is your opportunity to sample three areas of the arts
in a relaxed setting. Spend the morning at the theater learning about the
performing arts. Through games and stories, children will have a chance to
shine on stage. A lunch of pizza (Friday) or tacos (Monday), fruit and
juice/water will be served at our arts center in the afternoon. A fun round
of games will follow lunch. The visual arts will be explored and children
will learn valuable skills while creating their own project to take home.
Then, it’s back to the theater for instruction in basic dance steps! There
will be a break in the afternoon for snacks and water.

*Homeschool – On With the Show! *Ages*: 6-12 *

*Times*: *Feb 7th – Mar 28th Thursdays 9:30-11:30 *at the theater (Feb
28th, Mar 7th at the arts center)

Instructor: Sarah Wyatt Price: $80

Description: All levels of experience are encouraged! Students will learn a
few songs and what it takes to “put on a show”! They will gain experience
in many areas, including: auditioning, rehearsal and performance. Come
prepared to learn and have fun. (Performance on Mar 28th at 7:00 pm)

Homeschool Drama for All Ages! Ages*: 8-15*

Times: *Ap 11th – May 23rd Thursdays 10-12* at the theater (Ap 18th at the
arts center)

Instructor: Angela Miloro-Hansen Price: $80

Description: Come meet new friends and put on a show! This is a great
experience for beginner and those who have previously performed. Students
will be encouraged to expand their theatrical knowledge through the
performance of a one act for family and friends. (Performance on May 23rd
at 7:00 pm)

*Myths and Legends Galore* Ages:* 9-16*

Times: *Jan 17, 22, 24, 29, 31 Feb 5, 12, 19 Tues/Th 4-6 *theater(Jan
classes at arts center)

Instructor: Angela Miloro-Hansen Price: $80

Description: A fun class dedicated to learning about myths and legends.
Explore the stories of different worlds through performance. History has
never been this much fun! A performance will be given for friends and
family.

*Fun with Shakespeare* Ages*: 10-17*

*Times*: *Ap 2nd – May 21st Tuesdays 4-6* at the theater (Ap 16th at the
arts center)

Instructor: Angela Miloro-Hansen Price: $80

Description: Scared of Shakespeare? Then get thee to this class! Students
will improve their acting skills at their own pace using Shakespeare scenes
and monologues. The class will culminate in a performance for friends and
family. (Performance on May 21st at 7:00 pm)

*Bullies Anonymous Revisited *Ages:* 11-16 *

*Times*: *Mar 2nd – Ap 20th Saturdays 9:30-12* at theater (No class Mar
30th / Ap 6th, 13th at arts ctr)

Instructor: Julie Douglass Price: $80

Description: Be a part of the solution! Help examine and resolve issues
surrounding bullying through lively musical numbers and amusing dialogue.
There will be two performances scheduled during Maple Festival.
(Performances at the theater on Ap 26th at 7:00pm/ Ap 28th at 1:00pm)

*Homeschool Teen – Save the Drama for Your Mama!* Ages: *11-18*

Times: *Jan 28th – Mar 11th Mondays 10-12* at the theater (Jan 28th ,Feb
18th, Mar 4th arts ctr)

Instructor: Angela Miloro-Hansen Price: $80 (over)

(cont’d) Description: Students will learn the basics of theater and
fine-tune their acting skills in a one act performance. Beginner,
intermediate, and advanced levels are welcome. Meet new friends and be part
of a wonderful show!

*Intergenerational Theater Project * Ages: *10 and older, including teens,
and senior citizens!*

Times: *Jan 30th - Feb 20th Wednesdays 4-6/Saturdays 10-12* at theater (Jan
30, Feb 2 & 9 arts ctr)

Instructor: Madelon Horvath Price: $80 per person or $150 for child and
adult

Description: Enjoy time with a loved one or meet someone new from another
age group while learning about the thrill of being on stage! One acts will
demonstrate the connection between generations and help each student learn
about character development, timing and many other theatrical skills.
(Performances on Feb 22nd at 7:00 pm and Feb 23rd at 2:00pm)

*Adult Shakespeare Scene* Study Ages: *Adult*

Times*: Mar 11th – Mar 25th Mondays 6:30-9 *at the arts center

Instructor: Mark Cipra Price: $50

Description: Whether you’ve had years of experience or would like to brush
up on skills learned in high school, this class will let you explore
dynamic interactions provided by Shakespeare. Students will prepare and
perform scenes from the famous playwright to explore how his language
offers an actor clues on how to shape a role.

*Visual Art Classes*

*Ditto Printmaking* Ages:* 5-8*

Times: *Mar 12th – Ap 30th Tuesdays 4:30-6 *at the arts center (No class
April 2nd and 16th)

Instructor: Katie Arnold Price: $90 (Additional $10 material fee)

Description: Students will experience the excitement of printmaking!
Monster monoprinting, low-relief clay prints, crazy collograph and puzzle
block printing will be taught in a fun and engaging way.

*Valentine’s Card Workshop!* Ages*: 5-14 (Parent and child)*

Times: *Feb 9th Saturday 1-3 *at the arts center

Instructor: Katie Arnold Price: $20 (Additional child is $5)

Description: Celebrate ‘heART’ day by making exquisite valentines for your
favorite people! Parent and child will discover new ways to create
valentines through printmaking, watercolor, painting, drawing and lettering.

*Real Life Drawing* Ages:* 9-14*

Times: *Mar 14th – Ap 25th Thursdays 4:30-6 *at the arts center (No class
April 4th)

Instructor: Katie Arnold Price: $90 (Additional $10 material fee)

Description: Does your child want to refine their skills in real-life
drawing? This class will focus on drawing from life including the human
face, still life objects, perspective and space. Explore drawing in a fun
and engaging way.

*Drawing with Colored Pencils* Ages*: 10-adult*

Times: *Feb 6th – Mar 27th Wednesdays 7-9 *at the arts center

Instructor: Sandra Pulver-D’Amico Price: $75 (A list of needed supplies
will be provided)

Description: Come enjoy creating new artwork in a fun, relaxing atmosphere.
Students will learn various techniques in a variety of subject matter and
will also receive individualized instruction with their chosen projects.

*Introduction to Photography*Ages*: 16 and older*

Times: *May 4th Saturday 1-3* at the arts center

Instructor: Rick DeVan Price: $20

Description: Explore the basics of photography with any camera, including
mobile phones, and develop a hobby that will last a lifetime.
