DEARLY DEPARTED

Set in the present day,
somewhere below the Mason-Dixon Line, the
beleaguered Turpin family proves that living and dying in the South is seldom
tidy, often revealing and quite hilarious. Despite their earnest efforts to
pull themselves together for their father's funeral, the Turpin's other
misfortunes and secrets continue overshadowing the solemn occasion. Amidst the
chaos, they turn for comfort to their friends and neighbors, an eccentric
community of misfits who just manage to pull together and help each other
through their hours of need.  
 
DEARLY DEPARTED opened Off-Broadway on December 3, 1991:  
"If you were amused by the
kind of bucolic mayhem of…GREATER TUNA, this more ambitious trip down a rustic
main street could be just your dish of cola." —NY Post.  
 
"Dearly Departed is drop
dead funny." —NY Daily News.  
 
Casting: Roles available for
4 men and 6 women, character ages 21 – 65+ (Some roles will be doubled)  
Auditions will consist of
readings from the script.

Theatre, Room A (downstairs) 6200 Pearl Road Cleveland, OH 44130

Show Info: DEARLY DEPARTED opens April 12, 2012 and runs through April
28th, 2012. Performances are Friday and Saturday at 8:00pm
and Sunday at 3:00 pm.  
 
Rehearsals will begin on or
around February 18th. The majority of rehearsals will be weekday evenings,
approximately 3-4 evenings each week.
