"Little Shop of Horrors," is an energetic off beat, fun, yet odd musical
classic. With performances scheduled for April 26, 27, May 3, 4, 10, 11,
12*, 17 & 18 the musical, with Book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar, Music &
Lyrics by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, will be directed by Alex Nine, with
directing assistance and choreography by Chanda Porter and musical direction
by Dave Stebbins. Roles are available for 4-5 men and 4-5 women ages 17 and
up (depending on the part and overall casting).

One of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows of all time, this affectionate
spoof of 1950s sci-fi movies has become a household name, thanks to a highly
successful film version and a score by the songwriting team of Howard Ashman
<http://www.mtishows.com/show_detail.asp?showid=000188> and Alan Menken
<http://www.mtishows.com/show_detail.asp?showid=000188> , who redefined the
animated musical film with Disney's The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast
and Aladdin. Of course quite different from those musicals, "Little Shop of
Horrors" tells of a down and out floral assistant who becomes an overnight
sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving. Will
Seymour get the girl and tame the plant? Charming, tuneful and hilarious,
with tongue firmly planted in cheek ,"Little Shop of Horrors" never fails to
entertain. Includes the songs "Skid Row," "Somewhere That's Green" and
"Suddenly Seymour." Winner of New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best
Musical, Drama Desk Award for Best Musical and the Outer Critics Circle
Award!

The Hudson Players are an all volunteer non-profit community theater
organization and one of the longest running theater troupes in the area.

murder mysterys "Something's Afoot" running February 1-23. Volunteers are
always welcome to assist with a variety of tasks including publicity, poster
distribution, set building, costumes and more. Auditions to their shows are
open to all with no restrictions. Additional information is available at
