Dear Cleveland Film Supporters

On Wednesday it was announced that Made 
in Cleveland writer/director/producer Eric Swinderman is a finalist for 
Cleveland Scene Magazine's "Filmmaker of the Year." 

Eric is 
incredibly humbled by this nomination and wants you all to know that he 
knows that although he was singled out for the award, this recognition is really a 
reflection of the more than 140 local actors, dozens of crew and hundreds of supporters that helped make the film come to light. 

CINEMA Cleveland sees this nomination as a validation for the talented actors and artists that make Cleveland their permanent home. Tyler Davidson is also nominated and while we are certainly fans and supporters of his, the fact is that is isn't really a local filmmaker anymore and we think that acknowledging MADE IN CLEVELAND and it's creators will send a message to the city that AMAZING things are happening here at home and that Cleveland actors are more than JUST EXTRAS in a movie that comes to town for a few weeks.
