**Audition will include modern- ballet barre technique warm-up, followed by multiple RED repertory selections. Interviews may take place after audition**

RED SEEKS 1-2 TALENTED PROFESSIONAL DANCERS WITH STRONG MODERN/BALLET/JAZZ TECHNIQUE AND DYNAMIC PERFORMANCE SKILLS FOR THE 2013 SEASON. DANCERS MUST HAVE STRONG COMMITMENT TO REHEARSAL AND PERFORMANCE PROCESS. COMPENSATION TBD BASED ON FUNDS AVAILABLE. **All professional dancers must be 18 years old**

 


RED ALSO SEEKS 4-5  APPRENTICE DANCERS. APPRENTICE POSITIONS ARE FOR TALENTED YOUNG DANCERS IN HIGH-SCHOOL 9TH-12TH GRADES AND COLLEGE LEVEL. APPRENTICE POSITIONS ARE NON -PAID. TALENTED HIGH SCHOOL DANCERS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO AUDITION.




RED Company real.edge.dance is Akron's premiere professional modern dance company under Artistic Director/Founder Kelli Sanford. RED creates an eclectic, dynamic style of dance that is entertaining and thought-provoking. RED offers public performances, open modern dance technique classes, Apprentice Training Program, and Outreach Performances to Nursing Homes and Middle Schools throughout the Akron-Canton area.

 RED SCHOLARSHIP AUDITION FOR SUMMER DANCE INTENSIVE

 


                                    RED will be holding a 'scholarship audition' for community dancers teen to adult who are interested in participating 

                                                in the Summer Dance Intensive June 4,5,6, 2013. RED is looking to award a full scholarship to a 

                                                                            dancer who shows passion, energy, and commitment to the art of dance. 




                                                                                                        When: April 7, 2013 

                                                                                                        Time: 3:00-4:30 pm 

                                    (2:30 pm registration begins: $10.00 registration fee, headshot/dance photo, resume of dance training/experience)

                                                                                    Audition will consist of short, multiple dance phrases in different styles.

                                                                                                                            *Minimum age 13 years old.
