– Join author and dancer Alexis Wilson as she
launches her memoir, Not So Black And White, a personal memoir
of her father, an international ballet star and her mother, also a ballerina. 
In Wilson's book, the lights of Broadway, thunderous
applause, dark secrets, endless pliés, a mixed marriage, same-sex parents,
abandonment and AIDS form the tapestry of a triumphant, but atypical, journey.
It's a multi-colored story, but above all, a story about love. 
Alexis Wilson has agreed to an exclusive Cleveland appearance on Saturday, June 1 between 1:00-3:00 pm
at Cleveland City Dance Company, 13108 Shaker Boulevard (on Shaker
Square).  Wilson will speak for thirty
minutes and answer questions.  The
remaining time she will dedicate to autographing books.  Proceeds from the
book sale will benefit the City Ballet of Cleveland. First 30 book buyers will
receive a free t-shirt.  All book buyers
will receive an autograph and tuition coupon to Cleveland City Dance. Additionally,
a raffle will be held for a pair of pointe shoes signed by Alexis Wilson. Call
