Learn fight choreography, safety techniques and acting for the camera... then create an action film! 
In the first week of camp, John Davis will instruct participants in the art of stage combat and safety techniques.  Stage combat is a specialized technique in theatre and film.  It is designed to create the illusion of physical combat without causing harm to the performers.  This technique is used in live stage plays, television and film productions.  It is a common field of study for actors and is closely related to the practice of stunts.  Specifically, this class will cover SAFE combat techniques for a punch, kick, slap, choke, wrestle, fall, take down, lock, hold, block and trip.

At the end of the first week, filming begins.  Aubrey Calwell will direct and film action scenes choreographed by Mr. Davis.  Students will learn how to act for the camera and how to hit their marks in a film shoot.  Filming continues throughout the second week.
On Monday, July 8th at 8:00 p.m. students, friends and family are invited to a VIP party and première showing of the completed film. Each student will receive a copy of the completed DVD.
