    "Legally Blonde: The Musical" is in the pink at CVLT this summer

CHAGRIN FALLS, OH - "Omigod you guys!" Chagrin Valley Little Theatre's 
stage will come to life with the summer musical LEGALLY BLONDE on July 
19th. This multiple Tony and Olivier Award-winning, critically acclaimed 
musical is the all-singing, all-dancing romantic comedy about knowing 
who you are and showing what you've got! Performances run through August 
17th, rounding out CVLT's 83rd Consecutive Season.

Based on the Amanda Brown novel and the 2001 Reese Witherspoon film of 
the same name, LEGALLY BLONDE is the story of college sweetheart and 
homecoming queen Elle Woods (Lindsay Simon, who CVLT audiences may 
remember as 'Tracy Turnblad' in last summer's "Hairspray"). Elle isn't 
the type to take "no" for an answer, so when her boyfriend, Warner 
Huntington III (Brian Heigel), dumps her for someone a little more 
"serious," Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books, and heads for 
Harvard Law School to win him back. With the help of her new friends 
Paulette (Theresa Dean), Emmett (Shane Hurst) and her chihuahua, Bruiser 
(Diesel / Devon), Elle sets out to prove that she's got what it takes to 
become "serious" on her own terms. LEGALLY BLONDE's show-stopping 
musical numbers by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin and its script 
with enormous heart by Heather Hach are so much fun it should be illegal!

CVLT's production of LEGALLY BLONDE is helmed by director/choreographer 
Pamela LaForce, with musical director David Keith Stiver. The cast also 
includes Alison Arko, Rachel Armbruster, Ryan Bernstein, Brittany 
Dolinar, Alexandria Echols, Jessica Harris, Bryan Heraghty, Michael 
Litherland, Alex Marzullo, Sally Morris, Taylor Morton, Andy Novak, Eric 
Oswald, Ken Parsons, Kevin Pecjak, Jessica Pollak, Jen Ryan, Heather 
Strahl, Kaley Voorhees, Julia Zook, and features "Eli" as Rufus, the 
bulldog.

Tickets to LEGALLY BLONDE, which runs Friday & Saturday nights at 8 PM 
July 19 - August 17, and Sundays July 28, August 4 and 11 at 2 PM, are 
$18 regular, $14 students and seniors. Tickets can be purchased in 
advance at Chagrin Valley Little Theatre's website - www.CVLT.org, or by 
phone at 440-247-8955 between 1-6 PM, Monday through Saturday. Tickets 
are also available at the door, although reservations are suggested.

Chagrin Valley Little Theatre is located at 40 River Street in historic 
Chagrin Falls Village. CVLT is generously funded by Cuyahoga County 
residents through Cuyahoga Arts and Culture and supported by the Ohio 
Arts Council.
