Announcing Open Call Auditions for "Forever Plaid" coming to the Geauga 
Lyric Theater Stage September 13 thru September 29. Rehearsals begin 
Sunday, August 4 and run Sunday thru Thursday for six weeks. Labor Day Weekend OFF.
Preview performance on Saturday, September 7. 
Directed by: Lisa-Marie French and Musical Direction by: Dave Thomas. 
 
Seeking: 
4 men 
Francis (Frankie, the leader, confident, asthmatic) 
Jinx (the shy one, always terrified, Sparky’s step-brother) 
Smudge (the worrier, chronic nervous stomach, glasses) 
Sparky (the clown, wears a retainer, has a speech impediment) 
 
Director will look at all interested parties ages 18 to 50 with the 
intention of casting 4 men of similar age. All roles available. No 
pre-casting. Please come to auditions with two vocal selections. 
One ballad and one up-tempo. Be prepared to sing 64 bars of both. 
Pianist will be available to play sheet music. Boom box will be 
available to play CD accompaniment. Please no acapella vocal auditions. 
Please prepare 1 joke to present.

Auditions to be held at the Geauga Lyric Theater Arts Center located 
on Water Street in Chardon, Ohio. Across the street from the theater.

Afternoon session 2:00 to 5:00 PM 
Evening session 6:00 to 8:30 PM 
 
Open Call Audition Monday, July 22 
Evening session 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM 
 
All open call sessions are first come, first serve. Doors open 30 
minutes prior to start of each session. 
Digital photos will be taken of each applicant. 
No head shots necessary. 
 
Call Back Audition by Invitation Only 
Tuesday, July 23 6:00 to 8:30 PM  
Wednesday, July 24 6:00 PM reserved for call back if necessary.
