[NEohioPAL] Auditions for Bye Bye Birdie as Strongsville Theatre

Strongsville Community Theatre will hold auditions for the musical Bye Bye Birdie  on Sunday, July 28th (2-5 p.m.) and Monday, July 29th (6-8:30 p.m.) at the Strongsville Senior Center -- 18100 Royalton Road (behind the Target Plaza).

"Bye Bye Birdie" tells the story of a rock and roll singer who is about to be drafted into the Army. In one final publicity tour, Birdie arrives in Sweet Apple, Ohio causing the quiet little town to go into a spin! It is a show that will be enjoyed by its cast as much as the audience.

Readings will be done from the script.  Those auditioning are asked to come prepared to sing 32 bars of music in the style of the show that will best display their vocal ability.   An accompanist will be provided.

 

There are roles for many actors of all ages… teens and adults….speaking, non-speaking, singing and non-singing, dancing and not!  

 

Performance dates will be November 8-17, 2013.  All shows are presented in the Little Theatre of Strongsville High School, 20025 Lunn Rd. in Strongsville.
