Open Call Auditions

*When*: Sunday, July 21
Afternoon session 2:00 to 5:00 PM
Evening session 6:00 to 8:30 PM

Monday, July 22
Evening session 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

All open call sessions are first come, first serve. Doors open 30 minutes
prior to start of each session. Digital photos will be taken of each
applicant. No head shots necessary.

Call Back Audition by Invitation Only:
Tuesday, July 23 6:00 to 8:30 PM
Wednesday, July 24 6:00 PM, reserved for call back if necessary.

*Where: *Geauga Lyric Theater Arts Center located
on Water Street in Chardon, Ohio. Across the street from the theater. For

*Audition Information:*
Director will look at all interested parties ages 18 to 50 with the
intention of casting 4 men of similar age. All roles available. No
pre-casting. Please come to auditions with two vocal selections. One ballad
and one up-tempo. Be prepared to sing 64 bars of both. Pianist will be
available to play sheet music. Boom box will be available to play CD
accompaniment. Please no acapella vocal auditions. Please prepare 1 joke to
present.

*Casting Information: *
Seeking four men
*Francis* (Frankie, the leader, confident, asthmatic)
*Jinx* (the shy one, always terrified, Sparky’s step-brother)
*Smudge* (the worrier, chronic nervous stomach, glasses)
*Sparky *(the clown, wears a retainer, has a speech impediment)

*Rehearsal Information:*
Rehearsals begin Sunday, August 4 and run Sunday thru Thursday for six
weeks. Labor Day Weekend OFF.
*Show Information:*
Directed by Lisa-Marie French and Musical Direction by Dave Thomas. Shows
run September 13 through September 29.


*THE HAUNTING *

Auditions will be held at 6:30-8:30p on August, 18th and 19th,

and 6:30-7p on August 20th.

Callbacks, if needed, will be on August 20th from 7-8:30p.

Please be prepared to read from the script.  You *may* prepare a 2-minute
monologue in addition, but it is not necessary.  You will be asked to
perform a short improvisation as part of the audition.



*Characters*:

Eleanor:  (25-45) skittish, socially inexperienced, overly sensitive, and
insecure.

Theodora: (25-45) self-assured, fashionable, handsome woman.

Luke:  (20s) cocky, skeptical, fun-loving, bright.

Dr. Montague:  (35-55) thoughtful, scholarly, curious, practical.

Mrs. Montague:  (35-55) imperious, ardent believer in the supernatural
shows very little empathy.

Arthur:   (35-55) ex-military, loyal follower of Mrs. Montague.

Mrs. Dudley:  (40-60) officious and routinized.
