[NEohioPAL] SERIAL KILLER'S STORY THREADS THROUGH VANITY CRASH'S NEW ALBUM

Vanity Crash will release its second album Friday, September 6 at the Five
O’clock Lounge. The album titled "Yours, Justice", tells the story of a
fragile soul named Augustus (AJ), who cracks under the pressure of his
fiancée’s infidelity and becomes a serial killer. Vanity Crash has
recruited some amazing guest musicians including past Vanity Crash alumni
Brian Hager of The Chromes; Mike Garson of David Bowie’s band; Mark Gamiere
of Screw Tractor and The Wake; along with others.

Within the story of the album, the listener not only meets AJ, but also
Lisa, his wandering eyed fiancée; Jack Piper, the FBI agent brought in from
Quantico to head up the case; and a number of AJ's victims. The songs cross
multiple musical styles including pop, waltz, electronic, New Orleans jazz
and straight up rock, but all are given the Vanity Crash glam rock
signature.

Fueled by Dan Folino’s concept, the band began writing songs to tell the AJ
story and soon found themselves with 20 plus songs. Recording began fast
and furious but was interrupted almost immediately by Dan securing a two
and a half year acting contract at the Barter Theatre in Virginia. Upon
Dan’s return, a packed reunion show at the Beachland Ballroom rekindled the
desire to finish the album. But again, projects, including the production
of Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson--of which all the members of Vanity Crash
were casted in--delayed recording. But last September the band made a vow
to not only finish the album, but also push the band beyond the usual gig
here and there. Over the past 12 months Vanity Crash has done almost thirty
performances, a successful tour, radio appearances, a 200% funded
Kickstarter campaign and finished this album. More touring, regional shows,
videos and finishing part two of Yours, Justice are planned.
