DOBAMA THEATRE Announces Auditions for:
KIN by Bathsheba Doran
Audition Dates/Times:
Saturday, Nov. 2, 10am-4pm, by appointment

AT: Dobama Theatre 2340 Lee Rd., Cleveland Heights, OH 44118
Play synopsis: Traveling great distances and spanning many years in the
lives of its nine
characters, KIN is a love story between Anna, an Ivy League poetry scholar,
and Sean, an Irish
personal trainer – an unlikely but somehow perfect match. But this love
story is anything but
conventional. Doran’s original approach turns the romantic comedy formula
inside out: instead of
focusing on the growing relationship of the two lovers, we follow their
extended network of family
and friends, separated by geography and culture, who gradually find their
way together as a unit.
KIN shows us the vast web of connections that makes up a modern community.
This intimate yet
epic new play is moving, funny, and thought-provoking in exploring familiar
material in a completely
revolutionary way.
