[NEohioPAL] Initiative to bring Regional Theater to primetime on PBS

Good Morning, 

Being that most on this list are contributors, leaders, and audiences of theater in NEO, I thought this initiative would be interesting to share with you all. 

ONSTAGE IN AMERICA is a new not-for-profit venture aimed at creating a PBS series that will bring the finest work of theater companies around the country to national prime-time television.  The goal is to highlight the exceptional work being done by theaters everywhere and bring recognition to the regional theater movement.  

The campaign has been endorsed by Christopher Durang, Edward Hermann, David Hyde Pierce, Laura Linney, John Lithgow, Tony Shalhoub, and Meryl Streep.

PBS has ordered a pilot for the series and is partially funding its production.  ONSTAGE has just launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to match the PBS grant (http://kck.st/1kgaBxY).  


2 basic things you can do to help make this a successful campaign

1. Share the Kickstarter campaign with your networks via email (personal, email lists) & by word of mouth.

2. Help drive traffic to the campaign link by sharing via your social media platforms FB, Twitter, Linkedin, Pintrest. ect
