AUDITION PREPARATION
Please prepare 2 contrasting monologues no more than 2 minutes each. All will be asked to do a cold
reading from the script. Please bring Headshot and Resume. Th is is a non - equity production.

**Ring Girls must come with appropriate dress attire, (please look at World Wrestling Entertainment) or WWE.COM.**

ABOUT THE PLAY
“Let’s get ready to rumble!” Mace is a professional wrestler. He’s a really good professional wrestler. He’s not the champion though — that’s the impossibly charismatic Chad Deity. When Mace discovers a young Indian-American Brooklyn kid whose charisma rivals that of the champ, Mace decides to get him a job in the company. Only problem is, the boss has a very specifi c plan for the duo: put them on screen as terrorists. But when their rivalry is used to exploit racial stereotypes in the name of ratings, all three men fi nd themselves fi ghting for much more than just the title.

CAST OF CHARACTERS

MACEDONIO GUERRA a.k.a. “THE MACE” - Late 20’s to Mid 30’s
A Puerto Rican Professional wrestler. Good at what he does, undersized, our hero.

EVERETT K. OLSON a.k.a. “EKO” - 40’s or 50’s
Th e Caucasian Owner of “Th e Wrestling”, Brash, Confi dent, ostensibly our villian.

CHAD DEITY a.k.a. “CHAD DEITY” - Late 20’s to Mid 30’s, Must have EXTREMELY muscular build, Th e African American champion of “The Wrestling”, Confident, Handsome, Charismatic and not a very good wrestler.

VIGNESHWAR PADUAR a.k.a. “VP” - LATE 20’s
A young Indian American Brooklynite, Charismatic, Natural, Effortless

THE BAD GUY - Late 20’s - a non descript professional wrestler (non-speaking): also plays BILLY HEARTLAND and OLD GLORY.

RING GIRLS - Mid 20’s - Early 30’s Two non-descript shapely, robust young ladies, One African American and One Caucasian, whose sole purpose is to accompany CHAD DEITY.

REHEARSALS
Consists of a 6 week rehearsal schedule, 3-6 time per week. Th e cast will receive a Rehearsal schedule by the fi rst cast meeting or first rehearsal.
