MAKING A PLAY SING WORKSHOP

Sunday, Feb 9th, 1-4pm
Cleveland Public Theatre - Parish Hall
$50.00

MAKING A PLAY SING is an interactive overview of how existing stories can be transformed into a musical format. What kinds of stories benefit from the addition of music and what are some of the approaches for adapting material? Participants will learn about the structure of a musical, character development, and the form and function of song as we generate our own ideas and storyboard a musical during the three-hour session. Space is limited.
Recommended reading: Advance copies of Titus: A Grand and Gory Rock Musical will be available and used as a reference point.
