[NEohioPAL] Auditions for Short Film in Cleveland -- Jan. 29th

*Casting Call: January 29, 2014, 6-9PM*
*Cleveland State University’s Michael Schwartz Library*

*Silver Lemons Playbook* is a quick-witted, comedic short film about two
roommates.  Their rent is due by the end of the week, and so a competition,
to see who can come up with the cash first, sets them at odds with one
another.  This quirky comedy is being made for entry into film competitions
and festivals.

The short film will be shot in the Cleveland area on the weekends of Feb
7-9 & 13-15.  The script calls for several talented actors to play a
variety of roles.  This is an independent, low-budget film, so we are
looking for non-SAG actors who are willing to volunteer their talents for
the project.  Of course, a DVD or digital copy of the film will be provided
as compensation.

The Casting Call will take place on Jan 29, 2014 from 6-9pm.  It will be in
the Michael Schwartz library at Cleveland State University.  Please bring
headshot and acting resume.  You may prepare a monologue, but it is not

If there is any spillover or need for callbacks, they will take place, at
the same time and location on the 30th.

One of the leads has already been cast.  That is Mac (the antagonist): Al’s
roommate with a penchant for sarcasm and alcohol.

Rolls that need to be filled:

*Al:* (mid-20’s—Male) The protagonist, who has the mentally acuity of a
drowning goldfish.  He also has a habit of latching obsessively onto
whatever fad is current at the time.  This actor will need fairly open and
flexible availability for the time specified above.

*Gretchen:* (20’s-30’s—Female) An employee at the local grocery store.  She
is cunning enough to take advantage of a situation when she sees it.  This
actor will likely only be needed for the first weekend.

*Mrs. Miller:* (30’s-50’s—Female) A kind, middle-aged neighbor to Mac and
Al, who makes an effort to be kind to those in need.  This actor will
likely only be needed for the first weekend.

*Mr. Miller:* (30’s-50’s—Male) Mrs. Miller’s husband, who doesn’t
understand, nor condone, how nice his wife is to people, but is reluctantly
dragged along.  This actor will likely only be needed for the first weekend.

*Sue and Dave:* (Adult—Couple) Like Mrs. Miller, they like helping those in
need, but mostly because it makes them feel better about themselves.  These
actors will likely only be needed for the first weekend.

*Officer Doppy:* A police officer.  This actor will likely only be needed
for the first weekend.

There are additional *Featured Extra* roles that will be needed for the
first weekend as well.
