Please prepare 32 bars of a musical theatre song

That best shows off your vocal ability.



Please bring sheet music in the appropriate key.

An accompanist will be provided.



Please provide a current Headshot/Photo & Resume IF you have one.

Not necessary to audition.



Audition times available are as follows:

Monday, March 10th: 6:30, 7, 7:30, 8, 8:30, & 9pm

Tuesday, March 11th: 6:30, 7, 7:30, 8, 8:30, & 9pm



Dance Callbacks will be Wednesday, March 12th.

Principal Callbacks will be Thursday, March 13th.

 *SHREK CHARACTER BREAKDOWN*





SHREK -                                   Male.  20s-40s.  Big Green
Ogre.  Grumpy
hermit with a huge heart hidden under all his 'layers'.  Powerful singer
with strong belt, character voice, great comedic timing.



PRINCESS FIONA -                    Female.  20s-30s.  Quirky, Beautiful,
Blunt, Strong princess who turns into an Ogre every night.  Powerful singer
with strong belt, comedic timing.



DONKEY -                                 Male.  Late Teens-40s.  Chatterbox.
Optimistic sidekick with a lot of heart.  Strong singer with soul, great
comedic timing.



LORD FARQUAAD -                   Male.  20s-50s.   Self absorbed and
flamboyant.  Lonely and SHORT tempered with daddy issues.  Strong singer,
great comedic timing.



PINOCCHIO -                            Male.  Late Teens-30s.  Lots of sass
and attitude.  Leader of Fairy Tale Creatures.  Character voice.



GINGY/SUGAR PLUM FAIRY -      Female.  Late Teens-40s.  Gingerbread puppet
operated by Fairy.  Character voice.  Strong singer with soul, able to do
vocal runs.



DRAGON -                                Female.  Late Teens-40s.  Imposing
and flirtatious.  Strong singer with soul.



YOUNG FIONA -                        Female.  6-11.  Portrays Princess
Fiona at 7yrs old.  Strong voice.



TEEN FIONA -                           Female.  12-17.  Portrays Princess
Fiona as a teenager.  Attitude.  Strong voice.



FAIRY TALE CREATURES/ENSEMBLE -           Males & Females.  Late Teens -
60s.  Big Bad Wolf, Three Little Pigs, White Rabbit, Fairy GodMother, Peter
Pan, Wicked Witch, Ugly Duckling, Three Bears, Mad Hatter, Humpty Dumpty,
Three Blind Mice, Shrek's Mom & Dad, Guards, Knights, Citizens of
Duloc.  Strong
Vocalists, Comedic actors, dancers.
