Due to weather issues, Auditions for The Catch are cancelled for this evening, and are rescheduled for Thursday evening, Feb. 6 at 6:00 p.m.  Please see below for info.

TRI-C METRO CAMPUS THEATRE DEPT. ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR THE CATCH by Ken Weitzman

The Catch is a warmhearted story involving an actual event, the frenzy over catching the record home run baseball hit by Barry Bonds, but it’s much more than that.  It’s about family relationships, especially the wonderful, complicated, rich relationship between fathers and sons.  Gary has separated from his wife, moved into a small apartment in Oakland, CA, his father has moved in as well, yet Gary is wrapped with the optimism of reuniting with his wife.  Gary sees the basic issue to saving his marriage is money and develops a crazy plan to win a bunch by catching “the” ball hit by Barry Bonds.

The Catch was commissioned by the Denver Center of the Performing Arts.

AUDITION TIMES: Thursday Feb. 6 at 6:00 p.m.

PRODUCTION DATES: March 28 - April 6

AUDITION LOCATION: The Studio Theatre on the Metro Campus / Tri-C
                                                2900 Community College Ave.
PARKING: Please use entrance #5 at 30th Street and Woodland Ave. for secure underground parking.
