Hey, Teens! Are you looking for a summer acting program that is not a musical theatre-based camp? There is still space available in the Young Actors Ensemble teen acting intensive camp at the Fine Arts Association.

This camp is for students who want to enroll in an intensive acting study. Creativity, collaboration, and discipline are emphasized as students explore the acting process in a supportive and nurturing environment. Areas of focus include Stanislavsky-based acting technique, improvisation, voice/movement and ensemble work. The Young Actors Ensemble provides a balance between studio work and performance by culminating in a showcase production, featuring both scripted and ensemble-devised pieces.

Placement into this camp is by audition. All ability levels welcome. Previous theatre experience encouraged, but not necessary. Please don't be discouraged by the audition requirement! The audition is simply a way for the camp director to assess the student's level of experience. A strong desire to learn and work will also be a factor in acceptance to the program.

Camp dates and times: Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:30-5:30pm for 6 weeks.
Camp begins on Tuesday, June 24. Last full camp day is Thursday, July 31.
The Young Actors Ensemble 2014 showcase performance is Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 7pm. Final dress rehearsal for this performance is Monday, August 4, 2014, time TBD.

Camp tuition: $330

Alumni of the Young Actors Ensemble have gone on to theatre programs at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Kent State University, Baldwin-Wallace, University ofMichigan, and more!
