*Cleveland Shakespeare Festival opens 17th season of free outdoor theater
with A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM*

The *Cleveland Shakespeare Festival* celebrates its 17th consecutive
season of presenting free, live outdoor performances of the works of
William Shakespeare to audiences in Northeast Ohio.

In *A Midsummer Night’s Dream*, love and magic intermingle when two
couples get lost in an enchanted fairy forest on the eve of a royal
wedding.  At the same time, a group of rustic amateur actors rehearse
a play to be performed at the wedding.  Fairy mischief abounds as
dreams and reality become tangled.

*A Midsummer Night’s Dream* opens on Friday, June 6 at the P.E.A.C.E.
Park in the Coventry neighborhood and tours a variety of outdoor
venues:

The second show of the season, the classic tragedy of ‘star-crossed

All shows start at *7:00 pm* and are presented free of charge.
Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and
seat themselves prior to each outdoor performance.
