*ABOUT THE SHOW*

*4000 Miles* is set in present-day New York. After suffering a major loss
while he was on a cross-country bike trip, 21-year-old Leo seeks solace
from his feisty 91-year-old grandmother Vera in her West Village apartment.
Over the course of a single month, these unlikely roommates infuriate,
bewilder, and ultimately reach other. *4000 Miles* looks at how two
outsiders find their way in today’s world.

*4000 Miles* first opened at the Duke Theatre in New York City on June 20,
2011, presented by Lincoln Center Theatre/LCT3, and played for a limited
run before closing July 9, 2011. The production was nominated for the 2012
Off Broadway Alliance Award for Best New Play and it won three Obie Awards
(including one for Best New American Play). The production then transferred
to the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater at Lincoln Center, where it opened on
April 2, 2012 and ran through July 1, 2012. The play was a finalist for the
2013 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
