Cleveland Public Theatre announces
Auditions for SpringBoard (a staged reading series)

Cleveland Public Theatre is looking to cast 3 shows in this series. We are looking for a diverse group of all ages and types.

SpringBoard features staged readings of new scripts by local writers. The series places a special emphasis on developing directors for new work, nurturing strong relationships between directors and playwrights, and engaging the audience in the process. SpringBoard is NOT actors standing at music stands. This is staged work that conveys the rare excitement that comes from getting up on stage with little time to prepare. Audience members give feedback and engage in post-show discussions to help local playwrights improve their work.

When: Sunday, August 10th at 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, and 8pm
Where: CPT's Campus (6415 Detroit Ave)

Auditions are by appointment only and will be scheduled in one hour blocks. No prepared material is necessary, actors will be given sides at the audition for cold readings. Please bring 3 copies of your head shot and resume, if available. Actors should be prepared to stay for the entire hour.

Each show will involve 3-5 rehearsals and 2 performances. Rehearsals will be held on weekend days and evenings and weekday evenings. The series runs two weeks. The dates are: October 23rd - November 2nd, 2014. Shows will alternate Thursday through Sunday.

AEA contracts may be considered. Non AEA actors will receive a very small stipend.

Interested actors should schedule an appointment with New Play Associate, Caitlin Lewins by email only: clewins at cptonline.org<mailto:clewins at cptonline.org>. When scheduling your audition, you must provide your preferred time and phone number.
