[Salem Theatre via NEohioPAL]

Salem Community Theatre has scheduled audition dates for the classic
musical comedy “A Funny Thing Happened On the Way To the Forum” By Stephen
Sondheim,the Theatre’s first musical of their 2014-15 Season. 
  
Auditions will be held Sunday and Monday, August 24th and 25th,
2014 at 6:30 PM each evening.  Adam Day
Howard of Kent will be directing and musically directing. 
  
The
cast contains 11 or more men of various ages, 20 - 60+, and 5 - 6 women.  Those auditioning should come
with a song prepared (accompanist will be provided) and ready to read from the
script and interact with other actors.  There is little or no choreography in the show, so there will be no
dance audition, although a general sense of rhythm is desirable.    
Show
dates are October 24th though November 9th, 7 performances over three weekends
