Beck Center for the Arts in Lakewood is pleased to announce auditions for the 
locally-produced Premiere of....
 
 

 
Original Music and Lyrics by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman
Book by Julian Fellowes
New Songs and Addtl. Music and Lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe
 
Directed by Scott Plate, Baldwin Wallace University's Chair of Musical Theatre
Musical Direction by Larry Goodpaster
Choreography by Martin Cespedes
Stage Manager is Libby White
 
Performance Run Dates: December 5th thru January 4th 
Rehearsals Begin: October 25th
 
AUDITIONS will be held by appointment on Saturday, Sept. 20th from 2PM to 5PM
and                                                                 Sunday,    Sept. 21st from 6PM to 9PM
 
Audition appointments should be made through the Beck Center Box Office. Call to get your
appointment during regular Box Office hours at 216-521-2540 x10. You may also sign up in person
at the Box Office if you choose. Visit www.beckcenter.org for directions and other Beck info. 

If you are interested in auditioning but simply can NOT make either of these dates, please let us know.
We'll make every reasonable effort to acommodate you.
 
Please prepare one musical selection of your choice not to exceed 90 seconds. Bring sheet music
that is already in your preferred key. An accompanist will be provided. There will be no dance call at
these initial Open Calls. Dance auditions will occur at Callbacks.
 
CALLBACKS will be Sunday, Sept. 28th, time TBD. If you are completely unavailable that day, please
let the Director and Stage Manager know that at the time of your Audition Appt.
 
ROLES: All roles are open and available except the title role of Mary Poppins, which will be played by
Broadway actress Rebecca Pitcher (Christine Daae/"Phantom of The Opera") The cast includes two children
(Michael and Jane, ages 9 and 11---at least in appearance.) The rest of the roles range in age from 16 thru 60.
Other principal roles include Bert, and Mr. and Mrs. Banks. The Ensemble includes MANY great feature turns
for a variety of ages---including vocal solos. Dance ability is also varied, depending upon role. More information

There is one additional AEA contract available. All non-union actors (18 and over) are stipended for their             participation as well.
