Imbibe a Bit of History Along with a Fighting Heart  Brew 
History on Tap:  "The Irish and the  Docks" 
Great Lakes Brewing Company  (downstairs) 
Wednesday, September 24, 7:00  pm 
Presented by the Irish American Archives Society  
in conjunction with the Johnny Kilbane Sculpture  Project 
Like many Irish living in “The Angle,"  boxer Johnny Kilbane worked on the 
docks in the early 1900s. The role of  the Irish in Cleveland’s shipping and 
transportation industries will be discussed, and a keg will be tapped of  
the “limited edition” Fighting Heart brew that Great Lakes Brewing Company 
first  created in 2012 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Johnny Kilbane’s 
first  title fight. The talk is free; you've got to pay for the beer!  
Thanks to the  citizens of Cuyahoga County; a grant from Cuyahoga Arts and 
Culture supports  Kilbane programming in conjunction with the Johnny Kilbane 
sculpture, which will  be dedicated at Noon on September 28, 2014, in 
Battery Park at West 75th and Fr.  Frascati Blvd.
