On Saturday October 11th 2014 Shaker Dance Academy will be hosting a special workshop with our friend Chio Yamada from Broadway Dance Center in New York City. She will be returning to teach a 2 class workshop here at Shaker Dance Academy from Noon-3pm!

Born in Nagoya, Japan, Chio moved to New York in 1998 to study at the world-renowned Alvin Ailey American
 Dance Theater. Since then, she has assembled impressive television, video, stage and commercial 
dancer/choreographer/instructor credits including: "The Queen Latifah Show," "The Chris Rock Show," "1st 
Look NY" on NBC, Bacardi, recording artist Out Of Eden,  Marina, Dee Robert, Lady O, KTU Beat Stock, the New 
Jersey Nets, the New Jersey Devils/Ironman and the Washington Redkins all star Junior teams.

She has been on faculty at Broadway Dance Center since 2001, where she teaches her very popular Jazz/Funk classes. Aside from often teaching BDC's Absolute Beginner Workshop series, Chio has also been a part of the esteemed faculty of "The PULSE On Tour" alongside the likes of Brian Friedman and LaurieAnn Gibson.

Cost: $45.00 for 1 class and $75.00 for 2 classes
