Due to strong language, this play is not recommended for sensitive
Audiences

Here is what people are saying about "Or does it Explode"

"Or Does it Explode" is a play I didn't expect to like. As a 60 year old
white woman, I thought an all black production of stories gathered from
black men ages 16 to 35 in Akron would make me uncomfortable, especially
when I saw disclaimers that " Due to strong language, this play is not
recommended for sensitive audiences". Instead my whole family went and I
was amazed. (Balch Street Theater in Akron Ohio)

The play challenged me but didn't threaten me. The language was no...t
overly vulgar or crude; it was real (and many times over my head
intellectually). The acting was superb and each man's story drew upon basic
human emotions that we all have in common. I came away with understanding
and respect and love for each, even though nothing was sugar coated or
overtly blamed on "whitey". They are true stories told truthfully. It made
me think with both my head and my heart. It answered many questions and
sparked many more that I am still debating and challenging. I laughed and I
cried. There are several scenes and lines of dialogue I will never forget
because they opened my eyes to another's person's soul.

I feel privileged to have been able to see this play in its "home town" and
I hope schools and communities throughout the country get to do so as well"

 -Chris Jordan

"Tonight Dianne Lenihan <https://www.facebook.com/dianne.lenihan.79> and I
were privileged to see this INCREDIBLE show, and I don't use the word
INCREDIBLE lightly.

This play opened my eyes to a lot of things that I had not thought about
before. This play is as good or better than anything you're going to see in
NYC, and it's going on right here in Akron."
