What to Prepare:
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.

Show Dates:
Feb. 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, March 1, 2015
Curtain Times: Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m.; Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

Available Roles:
Important Note: There are several roles in this production that can be
gender-swapped. Please read carefully below to see which characters can
either be played by a male or female.

Geraldine "Gerry" Dunbar - (A community theater director trying desperately
to keep her show from falling apart) F or M, Age Range: 20s-60s

Aggie Manville - (Put-upon stage manager who tries to handle frustration
with good humor.) F or M, Age Range: 20s-60s

Polly Benish - (A character actress with a "large" stage presence) F, Age
Range: 30s-60s

Henry Benish - (A character actor and Polly's husband, very protective of
his wife's image) M, Age Range: 30s-60s

Saul Watson - (A character actor and a smart ass) M, Age Range: 30s-60s

Billy Carewe - (A young actor, has a little too much to drink on opening
night) M, Age Range: 20s-30s

Violet Imbry - (A young actress, not very smart, has trouble with saying
her lines correctly) F, Age Range: 20s-30s

Marla "Smitty" Smith - (A teenage actress who's having trouble in school
due to ridiculously long rehearsals) F, Age Range: 15-20

Lousie Peary - (A sound, lighting, and scenic technician, with horrible
timing when it comes to sound cues and set construction) F or M, Age Range:
20s-60s

Phyllis Montague - (Novice playwright who has no comprehension of how
theatre works.) F, Age Range: 30s-60s

Synopsis: A uproarious behind-the scenes comedy in the tradition of Noises
Off. An unlucky troupe of actors desperately tries to put on a play in
spite of meddling from the playwright. Will they manage to pull off the
opening night without a hitch? Of course not! Don’t miss this non-stop,
mischievous backstage romp!
