Stow Players presents "A Visit from St. Nicholas or The Night Before
Christmas"

Stow Players has just the thing for a Holiday treat for the
entire family: their production of "A Visit from Saint Nicholas or The Night
Before Christmas." Based on the beloved poem by Clement C. Moore, it comes
to life to the delight of young and old. Make plans now to attend this live
version by Lowell Swortzell.

On Christmas Eve, 1822, Clement C. Moore's house is not as quiet
as a mouse - in fact, everyone is stirring. The three Moore children,
Margaret (Susan Groggs), Jennifer (Daevlynne Lambert), and Charity (Emma
Himmel) excitedly await the arrival of St. Nicholas. Mother (Francine
Roberts) and Father (Tom Marshall) arise, thinking they hear intruders.
Cousin Harriet (Victoria Kirgesner) enlists the children to copy the poem
their father has just written for them, which she hopes to have published
for all young people to enjoy. But Father, as a distinguished professor who
fears being known as 'just' a poet for children, burns the poem so it can
never leave the house. At first heartbroken, the children unite to save the
poem for posterity by improvising it through a riotous enactment. How they
convince their father that his verses should be shared with children
everywhere brings about a happy - and hilarious! - ending.

This year's Holiday show is under the direction of Stow Players
President/Treasurer Pat Robertell-Hudson; she is assisted by Stage Manager
Keri Lambert.

All Stow Players productions are held at the Heritage Barn in Silver Springs
Park, with access only from Young Rd. Ticket price is $5 for everyone.

            Performance dates and times are December 12, 13, 19, 21 at 7:30
pm, and a special "matinee" on Sunday, December 14, at 2:30 pm. Call
330-655-6051 for questions, reservations, and general information.
