CANTON IDOL AUDITION GUIDELINES


*         One audition song must be performed acapella (no instruments/music
allowed).  

*         Profanity or suggestive lyrics are not allowed.  Violation is
cause for immediate disqualification.

*         Lip sync is not permitted.  

*         No baggy pants, low cut tops, short shorts, or bare chests
allowed.  Dress to impress!

*         You must sign above waiver that permits CI to tape and record your
performances during the competition.

*         If requested, you must present a birth certificate, valid license
or I.D. with birth date at the audition.

*         All contestants, ages 8 - 17 must have registration signed by
parent or guardian.

*         All contestants, ages 8- 12 must be accompanied to the audition by
an adult.

*         Registration fee must be paid in full at time of submitting entry
form.

*         Professional artists are not permitted to register.

*         All contestants, ages 8 - 17 must be enrolled and attending
school.

*         Judges decisions are final.

Those that have scored high enough to move to the final round will be
contacted via phone within 48 hours of auditioning. Do not call.  You will
be contacted.

 

One winner will be chosen per age category on Saturday, April 18, 7 pm at
Timken Auditorium. 

Each winner will receive a $100.00 cash prize. Ride in the HOF Community
Parade and appear on the "On Track with Betty Mac TV" Show, Channel 15.

One finalist will receive a single CD recording from "Prodigal Son" through
Universal Music Group.

 

 

Canton Idol is a production of EN-RICH-MENT, a not for profit music program
that provides free lessons/education/ instruments/dance and art classes to
underserved urban youth ages 5-18.
