Ever wonder why Sherlock Holmes never had a romantic relationship?

ROUGE ÉTUDE OR HOW SHERLOCK HOLMES BECAME A MISOGYNIST (our nickname for the show is "50 Shades of Strad") answers that question and more this week only, February 12-14, 2015 in Big Box ’15, Cleveland Public Theatre’s series of new works.

Victorian-era violinist rockstar Wilma Norman-Neruda (Mary Alice Beck) cougars it up with young Sherlock (Bryan Ritchey). Holmes’ Stradivarius violin, the third character in the triangle, is personned by Katie Simón Atkinson. A very nosey Mrs. Hudson (Jean Cummins) provides comic relief, and and musician Janice Lee “violin-syncs” in real-time, directed by Brian Pedaci.

Please join us for my world-premiere workshop-production, three performances only, February 12, 13, 14 at 7pm. Tickets for Big Box '15 ($12-15) are available online, by phone (216-631-2727), or at the CPT box office (6415 Detroit Ave., Cleveland Ohio).

See the first-ever workshop-performance Thursday, bring your Valentine to this tale of love gone awry on Saturday, and don't forget Free Beer Friday!

Cheers,
Deborah Magid
