ROAD TO FREEDOM: AN INTERACTIVE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD EXPERIENCE



Face your fears and test your courage as you play the role of a pre-Civil War slave travelling through Lorain County along the Underground Railroad.  Hoping to escape to freedom, rather than being caught by bounty hunters and sold to the Deep South, participants encounter potential friends and foes along the way.  TrueNorth Cultural Arts and Lorain County Metro Parks re-enactors provide dramatic and emotion-evoking performances fit to leave a lasting impression, blending arts with historical educational content.  Not knowing who to trust and unsure of your fate, you’ll experience firsthand the trials of those involved in a tumultuous period of our nation’s history.

Seeking actors to fill the following roles:

RUNAWAY SLAVE – African-American male, sings, age 18+

IMMIGRANT – Caucasian, Irish accent, age 18+

PERFORMANCES ( must be available for all )



April 10 and 11, 4:45pm-9:00pm

April 13 thru 17, 7:45am-4:00pm



REHEARSALS



Evenings or afternoons based on availability beginning IMMEDIATELY.
