> About the Session:
>
> Chogyam Trungpa was a Tibetan monk and master meditation teacher who fled to the west after the Tibetan Uprising in 1959. He ultimately settled in North America, founding Naropa University in Boulder, CO and an international network of Shambhala meditation centers. His writings and teachings touch on virtually every subject, and in the mid 1970's, working with a group of American students, he developed a series of exercises and theatre texts designed to explore group dynamics drawing upon meditation, monastic dance and western theatrical principles.
>
> This workshop will present some of the basic elements of Mudra Space awareness, including a group exploration of physical actions and readings/discussions of selected Trungpa performance texts. The role of mindfulness meditation in the actor's creative process will also be explored in practice and discussion.
