[Great Lakes Light Opera via NEohioPAL]

*Director of Development*



The Director of Development will report to Great Lakes Light Opera’s
Executive Director.

*Responsibilities include but are not limited to:*

   - Developing donor relationships on behalf of the Great Lakes Light Opera

·         Researching and writing grants to support productions and
educational projects

·         Building strong relationships with corporations

·         Overseeing accounting, payroll, and taxes

·         Recruits new board members



*Required qualifications:*

Proven development success and grant writing experience. Detail oriented,
self-sufficient, creative, positive and assertive attitude.  Proficient in
MS word, articulate verbal and written communication skills, ability to
juggle multiple tasks at once and ability to think quickly on your feet.



*Preferred skills:*

Accounting, legal experience.



*Time commitment:*

5 – 10 hours per week, flexible schedule



*Compensation:*

Successful candidates will earn commissions through grant-writing, up to
$20k per year.
