*Education Coordinator*



The Education Coordinator will report to Great Lakes Light Opera’s
Executive Director.

*Responsibilities include but are not limited to:*

   - Selling educational programming to libraries, schools, community
   centers, and other relevant venues

·         Coordinating logistics for programming including but not limited
to space, A/V capabilities, and piano

·         Maintaining the educational calendar of all Great Lakes Light
Opera educational ventures

·         Managing the Opera Avengers podcast by working with the Opera
Avengers Conceptual Manager to choose topics and create production timelines

·         Scheduling recording sessions and editing for Opera Avengers
Podcast

·         Working with the Director of Adult Programming and the Director
of Youth Education and Outreach to recruit singers and teaching artists for
educational programming



*Required qualifications:*

Detail oriented, highly organized, proven sales ability, self-sufficient,
creative, positive and assertive attitude.  Proficient in MS word,
articulate verbal and written communication skills, ability to juggle
multiple tasks at once and ability to think quickly on your feet.



*Preferred skills:*

Performance/arts experience, background in teaching/education, podcast
production.



*Time commitment:*

5 – 10 hours per week, flexible schedule



*Compensation:*

Volunteer position with opportunity for growth. Successful candidates will
earn bonuses through commissions and/or grant-writing, up to $20k per year.
