[NEohioPAL] SHREK the musical AUDITIONS tonight and tomorrow DYNAMICS COMMUNITY THEATER OF TALLMADGE

AUDITIONS FOR SHREK-- TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY NEXT WEEK!

Dynamics Community Theater of Tallmadge will hold auditions for the Tony
Award winning fairy tale adventure, Shrek the Musical. Music by Jeanine
Tesori. Book and lyrics by David Lindsey-Abaire. Based on the DreamWorks
Animation Motion Picture and the book by William Steig.

Auditions will be held on May 26-27th from 6:30-8:30 pm in the Black Box
Theater at Tallmadge High School (140 North Monroe Rd). Callbacks, if
ne...eded,
will be held May 28th.

Please bring a picture (it will not be returned), prepare 16 bars to sing A
Capella, and be prepared to read from a script provided that evening.

There is casting for 4 male and 3 female leads, with a featured ensemble of
many fairy tale characters and dancers. Limited casting available for 3rd -
8th grades. Those wishing to audition for leads are encouraged to sing
something in the style and range of that character.

In addition, Tap auditions will also be held the same days and times.
Dancers with intermediate or advanced level Tap should prepare 16 bars for
audition. Performers may audition for ONLY Tap, ONLY Acting/Vocal, or both.

Jonas Lawrence is directing with music directed by Carolyn Bagley.
Performances are July 31 and August 1, 7, 8. Rehearsals begin June 1st.
