Performance Director for the 2015 holiday performance season of Kringle's
Inventionasium®, an interactive, immersive theatrical experience produced
annually at Tower City Center in downtown Cleveland, OH. The
Inventionasium® entertains over 20,000 guests annually during a 25-30 day
run, attracts diverse families from all across the country, and boasts one
of the "Best Santas in the U.S.” according to TIME.com.

For families seeking an innovative holiday activity, Kringle’s
Inventionasium® delivers a fresh yet timeless interactive experience that
honors the spirit of Krismas. The Inventionasium® itself is Mr. Kringle's
inventing laboratory, where he invites children and their families to
engage in imaginative activities to help prepare for the Krismas holiday.
Mr. Kringle's many Inventors, friends and family members populate the
Inventionasium® and lead guests through its many stations, guiding them to
engage with Inventionasium characters and each other, to make lasting
memories with their family and friends. The tour through the
Inventionasium® concludes with a private visit and photo opportunity with

The right Performance Director would effectively direct the characters who
inhabit the Inventionasium® to deliver a consistent, tailored experience
for each guest, with a specific focus on the provided script, while
supplementing with a toolbox of clowning/mime/physical theater and
improvisational elements.


*A qualified individual would meet the following criteria:*
- 5+ years professional theatrical directing experience
- Skilled in directing clowning/mime/physical theater and improvisational
performance
- Bachelor's or Masters in theater/directing preferred
- Experience in sleight of hand/magic a plus


*This position pays $5000 for an 8-10 week rehearsal period beginning in
September (Dates TBA), 3 preview nights and weekend "surprise visits" for
ongoing notes regarding performance quality and consistency of show.*


Kringle's Inventionasium® opens November 20th, with previews the preceding
week (Dates TBA), and runs daily through December 23rd.
